Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, Canada’s most popular and fastest growing race weekend is back again this year. Run or walk in one of the five different events. Reasons for running are endless. The 2015 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend welcomed 49,439 participants in six races, including the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon, the Scotiabank Half-Marathon, the Ottawa 10K, the HTG Sports 5K, the 2K and Scotiabank Kids Marathon. The Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is one of only two running events in the world to host two IAAF Gold-label races - the Ottawa 10K and the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon. The Paul Kennedy Team

This is the 14th consecutive year for the Paul Kennedy Team to enter a team in the Ottawa Race Weekend.

The Paul Kennedy Team was created to honour an incredible young man while promoting his gift to others – Paul donated eight of his of organ and tissues to eight individuals. There are approximately 4,000 Canadians waiting for the gift of life – many of which await a heart, liver, lungs, kidney or small bowel transplant, etc. Nearly one- third of those awaiting these major organs will die, without a second chance at life.

The Main Focus of Paul's Team is to raise awareness for the urgent need of organ and tissue donation in Canada, and throughout the world.
