Our Cause

Organ & Tissue Donation:

There are approximately four thousand Canadians waiting for the gift of life – many of which await a heart, liver, lungs, kidney or small bowel transplant, etc. Nearly one-third of those awaiting these major organs will die, without a second chance at life. To think of others and donate one’s organs and/or tissues is truly a compassionate and selfless act.

Paul’s team was created to honour an incredible young man while promoting his gift to others – the gift of organ and tissue donation. Furthermore, the creation of Paul’s team provided the Kennedy Family with a means to thank the Ottawa Hospital Staff for their tremendous support when Paul passed away.

The Focus of Paul's Team is to raise awareness for the urgent need of organ and tissue donation in Canada, and throughout the world and to encourage people to register as a donorat: beadonor.ca Please join with us and "Open your Heart to Organ and Tissue Donation".
